Life drawing in Bali

Although, I draw from life around me everyday, this was the first time I have gone to an actual life drawing session. I noticed the sign when we first moved here and finally got up the nerve to join this past Saturday. It was two hours in an open-air space in the center of Sanur village. Because of pending pornography  legislation from Jakarta, models should not pose nude until the situation is resolved. So they wore sarongs.

Lovely mech. pencil studies, good luck finding an art store, if you do you may find some interesting new toys?!

Interest example of how government trumps art. Oh well. Gotta do what you can. I like the pencil sketches, too.

You did some lovely sketches despite the handicap of not having optimal equipment. As always, great work.

In Australia there has been a hullabaloo about child nudity in art photography - the world is becoming very consevative. Nice sketches.

Lovely drawings, Jennifer. Well, this way you get to sketch drapery for (maybe? maybe not?) a longer period of time than you'd get on the beach and street. How long is each sketch period in the class?
